On Friday 15th February, the second annual Criminal Law Debate will take place in the Gulbenkian Lecture Theatre, from 6pm to 7.30pm, with drinks and a chance to meet the speakers afterwards. Last year we plumbed the depths of dishonesty exploring /Ivey v Genting/, this year the motion is "This House Believes that the law of involuntary manslaughter is the best of a bad situation".

The speakers are:

Paul Jarvis, 6KBW College Hill and Junior Treasury Counsel and Christabel McCooey, Goldsmith Chambers for the motion.

Tarika Jayaratne of the CPS and Martin Rackstraw from Bindmans (a defence solicitor) opposing the motion.
