In 2018, and in collaboration with a group of students, Dr Yvette Russell and Dr Foluke Adebisi created and ran for the first time an optional unit at the University of Bristol Law School entitled ‘Law and Race’.  The unit has been running for three years now and is the only one of its kind currently taught in the UK.

In this session, Dr Russell and Dr Adebisi will talk about the unit and their experiences of teaching it so far. They will contextualize ‘Law and Race’ within a broader strategy of decolonizing the law curriculum in which scholars and students work together to build solidarity for an anti-racist law school, university and hopefully… world.

If you would like to attend the event, please register in advance.
