IECL Fund

Next deadline is Friday  17 April 2026

The IECL Fund is a new funding opportunity offered by the Institute for European and Comparative Law (IECL), with the aim of supporting research within the Oxford Faculty of Law on European and Comparative Law (funded by a donation from the Gildesgame Trust) and on European Law (funded by the Andbell AS Trust).

This fund will operate according to the same eligibility and use of funding rules as the Faculty’s Research Support Fund, with the exception that projects which do not address either the field of European and Comparative Law or European Law will not be eligible.

The deadlines for the IECL Fund will additionally be one week prior to the RSF's deadlines.

The IECL Fund deadlines for the remainder of the 2025-2026 year will therefore be:

  • Trinity term: Friday, week -1, 12:00 midnight, 17th April 2026
  • Long Vacation: Friday, week 8, Trinity Term, 12:00 midnight, 19th June 2026

Applicants must specify whether they wish their application to be considered under European and Comparative Law (Gildesgame Trust) or European Law (Andbell AS Trust), and cannot select both.

To apply, please complete the online application form. If you have any issues with this form, please write to research@law.ox.ac.uk.
