Amy Hemsworth
Biography
Amy Hemsworth is a DPhil candidate in Administrative Law at University College, Oxford, supervised by Dr Joanna Bell and Dr Hayley Hooper. Her doctoral research examines the extent to which, and in what ways, courts in England and Wales are able to conduct judicial review of administrative systems rather than just of individual decisions. She is a Stipendiary Lecturer in Constitutional and Administrative Law at St Edmund Hall. She also teaches Constitutional Law at St Hilda's College and teaches on the FHS Family Law course.
Prior to commencing her DPhil, Amy completed her BA in Jurisprudence with German Law at the University of Oxford in 2022 and read for the Bachelor of Civil Law in 2022-23. She has previously worked as an immigration paralegal at Turpin & Miller LLP, as a Research Assistant on projects for Professor Mary Bosworth and Dr Nicole Stremlau, and as a Policy Advisor in HM Government's Open Innovation Team.
