Biography

Beverley joined the Faculty of Law in March 2026. She has previous Equality Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) experience working at the University of Oxford Gardens, Libraries and Gardens (GLAM) as the EDI Project Manager.

Position Description

  • Work with the Associate Dean for Equality and Diversity to identify Faculty EDI priorities, set goals and translate these into actionable plans.
  • Lead on work to ensure Faculty EDI policy and practice are compliant with the Equality Act 2010 and other relevant pieces of statutory and regulatory advice, pay due regard to our duties under the Public Sector Equality Duty and are aligned with University guidance.
  • Lead the design, delivery and evaluation of EDI initiatives.
  • Project-manage the Faculty’s Athena Swan application and implementation—including convening working groups, collating evidence, agreeing milestones and ensuring action plan delivery.
  • Deliver yearly sessions on EDI for the Faculty during student and staff inductions.
  • Plan and deliver EDI training and events (e.g. unconscious bias, intersectionality), manage related budgets and support student meetings.
  • Act as a first point of contact for staff and students seeking advice on EDI matters.
