Research Facilitator and Grants Manager
Position Description
Research facilitation and grants administration
- Provide support and, where possible, add value to funding proposals submitted by researchers in the Faculty.
- Ensure the timely and accurate administration of all successful funding applications (research awards) by the Research Support team
Line management and team leadership
- Assist the Head of Research in ensuring that the Research Support team runs smoothly and is proactive, friendly and supportive to all colleagues.
- Act as a source of expert advice to the Manager of the Centre for Sociolegal Studies and to the Manager of the Bonavero Institute, and any other Centre/Institute administrator, in relation to funding applications/awards.
Research strategy
- As required, work closely with the Associate Dean(s) for Research, the Head of Research, and/or the Research Strategy Support Officer to support the implementation of any policies/plans resulting from the Faculty’s Proactive Research Strategy.
Other responsibilities
- Provide forecasts and budgets to the Faculty’s Finance Team re: research expenditure and income in line with the University’s budget/forecast timetable.
- Be responsible for the financial management of the project ledger, and for General Ledger overhead forecasting and budgeting.
