Biography

I am currently reading for a DPhil in Law at St Antony’s College, University of Oxford, and will serve as a Student Resident at the Bonavero Institute of Human Rights in 2026. My research is broadly situated within international children’s rights law. My DPhil thesis examines the moral justifications and legal recognition of new human rights, with a particular focus on the right to read.

I was trained as a lawyer in Brazil and hold an LL.B. from the University of Brasília. I also hold an LL.M. in International Law from Korea University, where I was a GKS-G scholar, and an Advanced LL.M. in International Children’s Rights from Leiden University as a Leiden University Excellence Scholarship awardee. My LL.M. thesis, A Child Rights-based Approach to the Right to Read, received the 12th Jaap Doek Children’s Rights Thesis Award.
