Md Monzur Rabbi
Biography
Md Monzur Rabbi is a DPhil in Law student at the University of Oxford. He is qualified as a Barrister (unregistered) at the Bar of England and Wales and is an Advocate of the Appellate Division of the Supreme Court of Bangladesh. He is working on his research project titled 'Privity of International Arbitration' under the supervision of Professor Thomas Krebs.
Rabbi holds an LL.B. (2008, First Class Honours ) and an LL.M. in International & Comparative Law (2009, First Class) from the University of Dhaka, Bangladesh. Upon receiving a Fulbright Scholarship, Rabbi pursued an LL.M. in International Arbitration at the University of Miami School of Law, Florida, USA. He is a legal professional with almost 15 (fifteen) years of experience and he previously completed his articleship in Bangladesh with the chambers of Mr. Ajmalul Hossain KC. He represented clients in a number of national and international arbitration and has the experience of appearing before ad-hoc international commercial arbitral tribunal. Rabbi has recently contributed a chapter to a book titled 'Force Majeure and Hardship in the Asia-Pacific Region' published by JURIS, New York, USA.
