Biography

Rachid Benharrousse is a Postdoctoral Researcher at Tilburg Law School, Tilburg University, whose work sits at the intersection of law, politics, and sociology. His research explores how Mediterranean states, institutions, and migrants negotiate the boundaries of migratory expectations, mobility, and protection, drawing on interdisciplinary approaches to questions of borders, citizenship, legal status, and rights. He is currently writing his book, Migration as Exitism, with Routledge. He is a member of the Asylum and Border Criminology thematic group, part of Border Criminologies.
