Virtual/Hybrid Event

Teams

Most faculty spaces at St Cross have the facility to accommodate a hybrid Teams or Zoom meeting. Normally, this requires the presenter to access their individual account through the room PC, which will then automatically engage the cameras and microphones. Certain spaces such as Seminar Rooms D, F, The Cube and the Law Board Room have specific microphone and camera configurations to better capture audience discussion and interaction, whereas the Gulbenkian is optimised towards recording a lectern-based speaker. 

Panopto

Panopto Recording software is used throughout the St Cross building to capture daily teaching. The system allows users to queue up recordings for individual remote recorders which then initiate and terminate at predetermined intervals. Panopto also has the facility to be used for events, allowing us to easily capture recordings within rooms and even to facilitate a live-stream without viewer engagement.
