Dr Andreas Televantos to become General Editor of the Oxford Journal of Legal Studies

Andreas Televantos

We are pleased to announce that Dr Andreas Televantos will take over as General Editor of the Oxford Journal of Legal Studies (OJLS) from 10 November 2026.

Dr Televantos has served as an Articles Editor of the OJLS since 2019, and succeeds Professor Liz Fisher as General Editor.

Professor Fisher is stepping down in light of a new commitment as a non-executive board member of the government’s Office for Environmental Protection. Her achievements as General Editor include spearheading the journal’s first virtual issue celebrating Women’s History Month, and guiding the OJLS successfully through the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic. She has consistently ensured that authors receive timely and empathetic editorial support, as well as encouraging younger scholars to publish.

Professor John Armour, Dean of the Faculty of Law, said:

“Liz has been a fantastic General Editor of the OJLS, and an outstanding ambassador for the Journal. The Faculty is hugely grateful for her contribution, and I am delighted that Andreas will take up the mantle, bringing his considerable editorial experience and insight to the role.”
