New Publication: A Casebook on Chinese Outbound Investment

A casebook on Chinese outbound investment. Edited by Matthew Erie.

The Faculty is pleased to announce the publication of A Casebook on Chinese Outbound Investment: Law, Policy, and Business, published by Cambridge University Press. Edited by Matthew Erie,  Associate Professor of Modern Chinese Studies, this open-access collection is the result of an ERC-funded project called ‘China, Law and Development’ and is free and downloadable.

The Casebook features case studies on Chinese overseas projects written by junior scholars and practitioners from all over the world, including Asia, Africa, and Latin America, as one aim of the project is to support the next generation of China scholars, especially those in the Global South. The casebook provides an invaluable resource for educators in law schools, business schools, and policy schools.

To mark the publication, a launch event will be held on 12 May at the Oxford China Centre, featuring several distinguished readers, including Geneviève Helleringer, Associate Professor in French Law and Business Law.
