Christian Conal
Biography
Christian Conal obtained his Bachelor of Laws from the University of the Basque Country (UPV/EHU). He completed a Master in Law and Legal Practice at the University of Deusto (UD), where he specialised in Criminal Law. He obtained his PhD in Criminal Law from the University of the Basque Country, graduating ‘cum laude’.
After practising as a criminal lawyer, he has devoted himself to university teaching and research. He has published numerous research articles and book chapters, and is the author of the monograph ‘Cybersecurity and Criminal Law’, published by the prestigious publishing house Thomson Reuters Aranzadi, in which he carries out an international study of the criminal law regulations related to cybersecurity in the hospital and health centre fields.
He has carried out research stays at the Universities of Oxford (UK), Bologna (Italy), Salamanca (Spain) and La Sorbonne (France).
He has participated in various national and European research projects. His lines of research are Criminal Law related to the fields of Medicine/Health.
He is currently a Lecturer in Criminal Law at the University of La Laguna, and is interested in collaborating in foreign research projects and in establishing contact with academics who share his lines of research around the world.
