The Deputy Finance Manager will take a lead in budgeting, forecasting and monitoring for a number of discreet Faculty courses, centres and activities, this includes:

• Deputising for the Head of Finance when required: reporting to and attending committees, liaising with Social Sciences Division and contributing to strategic costing and planning exercises.
• Primary budgeting and forecasting responsibility for a number of Faculty cost centres.
• Exercising delegated authority to scrutinise and approve a wide range of financial and payroll transactions and taking a lead on financial assurance matters.
• Researching complex finance issues to solve problems, develop effective processes, and provide specialist advice to colleagues at all levels.
